Adrenaline Mob return with what in all honesty can only be a stop gap covers album / EP. With Coverta they tackle eight varied all time classic from the likes of ACDC, Rainbow, Heart, Black Sabbath, Dio, The Doors, Led Zepplin and Van Halen. Interesting mix hey? Well interesting but these guys pull them off perfectly, and as varied as they are they sit together here just as though they were written specifically for this release.
Russ Allen pulls of the vocals perfectly and axemen Rich Ward and Mike Orlando do admirable jobs playing the riffs of such messers as Richie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, Agnus Young, Eddie Van Halen  and Jimmy Page.
Although this can only be a stop gap until the bands next studio release its well worth checking out just to hear how well they pull these classic off!

Irish hard rocker's, The Answer, return with their new album, Revival. Well the good news is that if you're a fan of the band then you're gonna love this album! Hell to be honest if you are a fan of Classic / Hard Rock then you are going to love this album. You've got great classic riffs, solid songs and HUGE chorus's to boot!
The band have been around long enough now to have the confidence to stretch their songwritting tallents a little too and mix the influences within the songs too, which a possitive, with some songs having a very Zepplin feel to them and some having a distinctive southern flavour too. There are out and out rockers like New day Rising, there's moody classy songs like Destroy Me, as well as great balladesque tracks like Lights Are Down and classy tracks like Caught On The Riverbed. This album really does have it all!
 
Revival is a fantastic album from a great band, a record (or should that be CD?) that really delivers!
Very Highly Reconmended!

Soul Doctor - Way Back To the Bone

The music of Soul Doctor is to be categorised as traditional hard rock and has (sometimes) many AC/DC-influences. The vocals of Heart remain very strong, as well as the guitar parts of Chris Lyne but at times the songs just fall a little short of the mark. The mid-tempo ‘First Man On The Moon’ is a good example of what you can expect on ‘Way Down To The Gone’: a very straightforward hard rock song which is easy to listen to but nothing more than that, which unfortunately is the case with many of the songs on offer here. By no means are they bad songs, they're easy to listen too, but also just as easy to forget when they stop playing. Its a pity really because there is a hell of a lot of talent on display here!


Sorry but for die hard fans only and fans of Tommy Heart!

Dust And Bones - Voodoo Review

If you like classic dirty rock ‘n roll, Dust and Bones is the band for you!
Dust and Bones officially became a band in April, 2008. Band members include Nick Elmore (lead/backing vocals/harmonica) Sean Quidgeon (guitars/backing vocals), Jon “Big Dawg” Jackson (bass/lead/backing vocals) and Ryan Riggs (drums/backing vocals). These guys are perfectionists when it comes to blending their respective talents.
Dust and Bones are a classic rock band with a very hard edge. If your into the likes of Aerosmith, Buckcherry and Tesla then 'Voodoo' is bound to have something for you.
Great songs and great vocals, musically its hard rock with an alternative edge with the guitars chugging along, but it really works.
Stand out tracks included on this 13 track album have to include 'Feed My Disease', 'Dear Diary', 'Voodoo' and wickedly titled 'Whiskey Dick', which is funny as hell!

I love this album and am so happy that I Got to write this review, I just cant stop playing the lil bugger..lol

Good old fashioned classic rock n roll with a contempary twist.

Black Robot - Black Robot Review.

What happens when three three former members of Buckcherry reunite? They transform into a new powerhouse rock band in the form of Black Robot!Black Robot are influenced by classic hard rock legends like AC/DC and Aeromsith, while creating something new with their own distinctive sound.The band are driven by the vocals of Detroit native Huck Johns. If you haven’t heard Johns sing before, you are in for a treat. Producer Dave Cobb really pushes Johns to new heights on this cd and brings out some of Hucks best performances! But Black Robot are'nt all about the vocals, the rest of band featuring Yogi Lonich on guitars, Jonathan Brightman on bass and Devon Glenn on drums play their asses off on this CD. I am pleasantly surprised on how different this material is from their past musicwith Buckcherry.You have the stadium anthem “Baddass”, and the cover of J.J. Cale’s “Cocaine” which are sure to pull you in upon first listen.“Momma Don’t Cry” has an awesome Jimi Hendrix like vibe to it, whilst “I’m In Love” slows down the pace with an a very cool ballad. This song could be a huge hit for the band if they get the right breaks and some god darn airplay! “Money” is an infectious upbeat tune, “In My Car” has a good, classic 70’s rock vibe to it reminding me of early Areosmith, and “Love On A .45″ sees Johns channeling his inner Zeppelin on this catchy tune!

This is a great album with Black Robot proving once again the Rock is far from dead!!
