UK rockers, Falling Red, return with their sophmore album and what an album it is! This time around the guys have opted to go down the Pledge Music route in order to record the follow up to their debut, Shake The Faith, and the great Ep, Hasta La Victoria Siempre, giving them complete creative freedom and full control of their destiny so to speak. And the result is not only a damn fine album, but also the best set of songs that the band have been involved in so far! Now I have to be honest here. I enjoyed Shake The Faith, but wasn't totally blown away by it, unlike Hasta La Victoria Siempre, which I thought was amazing, so I awaited Empire Of The Damned with baited breath, and the guys didn't disappoint! Altogether a more coherent album, Empire... has a harder edge and a larger injection of attitude than its predecessors. Opening with the moody and atmospheric Time To Rise, Falling Red set the scene for what is to follow. And that is an onslaught of six awesome tracks, (most destined to be live favourites!) in the form of The Devil You Know, We Escaped A Cult, Break Me, Outcast, Disposable and title track Empire.... We Are Reckless follows, a track that will be familiar to most fans as it was released over the Internet a few months back as a teaser for the album. Reckless proves to be the weakest track so far too,not because its a bad song, just that its not quite as strong as its predecessors, and that's eight songs in! The quiality soon picks back up again with No Sanctuary, which flows nicely into Lonely Way To Die. The album finished with another blast of high octane attitude in the form of Change For No One, a song with some great twists and turns. Emoire of The Damned is cram packed with great songs, performed by a band both at the writting and performing peak! Top that with a great production and Falling Red have managed to deliver a strong candidate for album of the year in the form of Empire Of The Damned!

Very highly reconmended

Falling Red - Hasta La Victoria Siempre

Genre - Hard Rock / Sleaze Rock / Punk / Glam
Label - Rocksector Records

Track listing -

01 - Come On Down
02 - My Little Vice
03 - The Last Kiss Goodbye
04 - Aint Down With The Rock (2011)

Hasta La Victoria Siempre is a new four track Ep for British Superstars in the making Falling Red.
Falling Red put the world to rights with the release of the phenomenal debut album last year, Shake The Faith, really putting British Glam and Sleaze rock back on the map with the album being credited as the most relevant album since Guns N Roses released Appetite For Destruction.
This Ep is a follow up release, to plus their new UK tour with label mates Velvet Star, and the European Tour with Hardcore Superstar.
The EP opens with a rabble rousing anthem in Come On Down, quickly followed by the sleazy little number, My Little Vice.
They follow these up with the power ballad, The Last Kiss Goodbye, a song Bon Jovi / Poison or Guns N Roses would kill for. It’s a great commercial song, with real heart, love it!
Rounding up this little Ep is Aint Down With The Rock, a song that has become a kind of anthem among Falling Red fans, a great calling card.
These guys obviously love what they do, and they do it very well!

A great little Ep very, very highly recommended!

Falling Red - Shake The Faith

The Cumbrian four piece's debut album comes packed to the brim with the debauchery, guitar hooks and swagger that made Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction such a vital and refreshing album!

The band manage to enthuse each and everyone of the eight tracks on this stunning debut album with a raw pure energy that highlights the sheer enthusiasm that is sure to capture the hearts of a new rock generation, and Shake the Faith could still be considered as a ground breaking classic in 10 years time!
Falling Red could be the most important thing to happen to the British music scene since the Wildhearts and NWOBHM!
Tracks like 'How You feel (On Me)', 'Out Of Control', 'Sue You for Your Soul' and title track 'Shake The Faith' and destined to be the anthems of the new generation of rock n rollers!
Its rare that you get to hear sure a stunning debut, I was 13 when Appetite hit the streets, so I pretty missed all the fuss, but Ive got a feeling I'm gonna jump on board for this ride!

Very Very Highly recommended!
